Welcome From Bob Jett, General Counsel for eDocs-Express.
Welcome to the Eighth Issue of the eDocs-Express Dispatch!
eDocs-Express and Prescient Software Assist Ohio Startup! We recently announced
a new client, a startup bank in Ohio. In the bank's early formative days, we talked with the banker leading the formation and explained how eDocs-Express could provide loan documentation services until the start-up bank built up sufficient loan volume to justify bringing that function in-house. And after that, they'll probably keep using eDocs-Express for backup purposes and their more difficult loans.
If your credit union is starting up a new type of lending product, say a commercial loan department, edocs-Express could be of comparable help.
The Credit Room
In addition to documentation services, Prescient Software is building a private Intranet communications system for the new bank for purposes of conducting online management meetings and loan committee meetings.
Many of the new bank's directors are spread across the country. So this new communications system, which ties into the eDocs-Express Loan Processing Center, will enable them to communicate on a real-time basis without having the risk and expense of distributing packages of documents.
It will also enable them to conduct secure loan committee meetings, without risking distribution of credit documents by email, mail or courier, and while reducing copy and delivery costs.

Spoofed Websites
Web-site spoofing is a way of creating fraudulent web sites that look similar to actual credit union union or bank web sites.
Crooks attract Internet users to these spoofed Web sites through various phishing schemes.
"Phishing" is defined by Webopedia as the act of sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft.
Once at the spoofed Web site, the user is enticed to enter information such as their Internet banking username and password, credit card information, or other information that enable the criminal to use the members' accounts to commit fraud or steal the members' identities.
Please read "Bulletin 2005-24" from The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for more information and directions.
